AC fan won’t come on?
You can rule out several problems by yourself when it comes to your air conditioner before turning to professional help. In most cases, if the fan on your AC won’t come on it can mean that there are some electrical issues. You can examine all the electrical components of the air conditioner. First make sure that it is turned ON and that the switch on the thermostat is set to the programs ‘Cool’ or ‘Set’. If this checks and you can hear the humming of the compressor but the fan still won’t come on then probably the problem is with a capacitor. For this we advise reaching out to our repairman so the fix could be done professionally and without any damage to the AC. You can also check the circuit panel to see if the fuse has blown or if it has tripped. Don’t forget to look at the electrical wiring outside of the unit to see if it has not been compromised. If so you can replace it for proper function of the AC. The last thing you can check by yourself is the condensate pump. Make sure that it’s not clogged by disconnecting the drain line, because if the pipe does not drain correctly then the fan won’t come on your AC.
