HVAC blowing warm air
When it's boiling hot outside and your HVAC system has to maintain the indoor temperature at its most comfortable level, your AC may let you down at an inconvenient time. All too often your HVAC installation may start blowing warm air and send you into the tailspin. Hopefully, we will shine some light on the most common reasons for this issue. Dirty air filters When the air filters in your AC get dirty, this obstructs the airflow throughout the system and causes your appliance to blow warm air. It's important to make sure your air filter is clean once you notice a decrease in your AC's cooling capacity. Generally, replacement of the dirty filter quickly resolves the issue. A frost buildup on the evaporator coils The evaporator coils in your AC are supposed to dissipate heat coming from your home. During this process moisture from your indoor air may collect on the coils, cause them to freeze and prevent the fan from transferring heat. Allow your coils some time to thaw and avoid using your AC until then. The reason for this fault may lie in insufficient airflow, refrigerant leaks or some other system issues. Get a qualified HVAC technician to identify the real culprit of the frozen coils so that you could prevent the problem from recurring in the future. Surely, this is not the exhaustive list of the reasons why your AC is blowing warm air. Be sure to contact us if you have faced this issue and we'll gladly bring your HVAC system into top shape again.
