AC Won't Turn on or Start?
If your AC doesn’t turn on on a summer day, it will probably disappoint you. No wonder, as it removes heat from the interior providing you with comfort. But still don’t get upset once your AC doesn’t start because the reasons for it can be different, and if you have some time, you will be able to deal with some of them on your own. Check the thermostat. It’s the control panel for AC, so if there are any problems with it, the AC won’t turn on. Maybe it just needs batteries. But if the thermostat is outdated or broken, you should replace it. Check circuit breaker. It shuts off when there’s an electricity overload. If it happened, reset the breaker. Make sure the interior of your AC is clean. Maybe it doesn’t sound serious but dirty air filter, evaporator coils, or condenser lines make the AC work less efficiently and after a while can cause a total breakdown. Check the fuses using a multimeter. If the fuses are running, the multimeter will beep. If no, replace them. Ensure there are no wiring problems in your home. Keep in mind, that wiring problems cause troubles with all electric appliances. However, if you can’t fix the AC and it still doesn’t start, or if the problem happens again, it must be more serious and you should contact AC service. If you call us, we’ll provide you with fast reliable service and AC malfunction won’t seem a problem anymore.
