Mini-split not cooling

Many homeowners opt for mini-splits due to their higher efficiency and practicality. All the advantages aside, mini-split units can't last forever and one day you may notice that your appliance is not cooling. So here are some simple things you can do yourself to handle the problem. Thermostat batteries Along with the wrong thermostat settings you may be dealing with batteries that have gone dead. Replace them and your unit should cool well again. Tripped circuit breaker All too often the circuit breakers may trip unexpectedly. After putting the breaker back to the ON position, your mini-split might start cooling again. If the problem recurs, make sure that the circuit with your mini-split is not overloaded with other appliances. Frozen coils When the coils are covered with ice, the airflow in your unit becomes poorer which directly affects the cooling capacity of your mini-split. The reason might lie in a dirty air filter, which simply needs replacement. If you have exhausted our tips and your mini-split is still not cooling, get in touch with us for quick and efficient repair service.
